Each Saturday, I’ll post a free image for anyone to use on their website, blog, book cover, trailer…whatever. It is non-exclusive, and everyone can use it freely. All I ask is that you link back to my website if you use it on the Internet, giving me (Diane Lynn Tibert at http://dianetibert.com) credit.
You are welcome to leave a link to the page on your website where you used the image in the comment section below.
I’ll gather free images on their own page, so they’ll be easy to find.
Today’s free image is a Lunar Moth. In my life time, I’ve seen only about twenty of these moths around Nova Scotia. The first time I saw one, I thought a child had stuck a plastic bug to the outside window of the grocery store. After a closer look, I realised it was real.
Images can be manipulated in any way necessary. The image above is the free image worked through PowerPoint. Let your imagination bloom to transform the free image to your unique image.

Thanks, Cassandra. I found a lunar moth catepillar for the first time the other day, and this made me think of the picture I took in 2007. I’ve found several lunar months in the past five years, but this one was my first.

Yvonne, I’ve been an outside girl all my life and I never saw one until 2007. Now I see about one or two a year. They are very rare. A friend told me yesterday that she’s never seen one. She’s from British Columbia and has lived in Alberta. They are an incredible moth. The largest I’ve seen.
