Do you write with a pen name? If so, what is it?
Not currently. I have a line of stories that are outside my ‘usual’ type, which will be published under a pen name.
In which country were you born, and which one do you live now?
I was born in the United States (in Pennsylvania) and currently live in the U.S.
Which genres do you write in?
I write in Historical Fiction. My stories tend to involve action and adventure and, usually, some sort of mystery.
How many books have you had published? (feel free to name a few of the most recent)
I have published four books: The City of Refuge, Pharaoh’s Son, A Killing Among the Dead, and The Safeguard.
A Killing Among the Dead was my first that was published.
Which is your most current published novel?
The most current novel is Pharaoh’s Son.
What’s the working title of the next book you plan to publish?
My nearly finished Work in Progress has a working title of Mourningtide. It seems appropriate, since it deals with the death of a young man and his family’s journey of acceptance and healing.
Do you read hard cover, paper books, ebooks or audio? Or a mixture?
I read ‘hard copy’ – hardcover or paperback – books the most. I did purchase a Kindle, and I really like the fact that I can take fifty books on a trip with me without having to cart two extra suitcases.
If you could be a character from a book (not one you’ve written), which would you choose?
I wouldn’t mind being Samkin Aylward, the master archer in Conan Doyle’s book The White Company. He was a fun character to read about – no nonsense, but with a great attitude and a lot of courage. I generally laughed whenever he appeared.
