It’s November 1st, and from my wee corner of the world, I can hear pens and pencils scratching on paper and anxious fingertips striking keyboards. It must be NaNoWriMo!
November is National Writing Month, a month set aside during the year to encourage writers to write up a storm. They might write something completely new or finish a work in progress.
The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days.
I participated in the writing frenzy in 2015, but I won’t be this year. My busy schedule won’t allow me the time to write for two hours a day. That doesn’t mean I won’t be thinking about writing. I have several stories I want to finish and start, but they’ll have to wait until January 2017.
Here are three posts I wrote for last year’s NaNoWriMo. Perhaps they can inspire and encourage others who are participating:
Good luck with the challenge. And remember, Have Fun! If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.
I’m not doing it this year either, Diane. It nearly knocked me out last year, so I’m doing my own unofficial version. For those who are trying it…it’s wonderful hard work. 🙂
