Before I run off to the ocean for the day, I wanted to share what I’ve been working on this week. I wrote this novel during NaNoWriMo 2015. Now, it’s time to get it off the computer and out into the world.
The Salvation of Mary Lola Barnes
Description (a work in progress)
She reserved the most convenient lies for herself.
Mary Lola Barnes had everything: a loving husband, two wonderful grown children, good friends and a lovely home. She had no right to ask for more. It didn’t matter if she felt something was missing. She was just being silly. Afterall, what could she ask for? When new friends enter her life, she’s not prepared for the harsh light that shines on the imperfections in her world. They reveal the emptiness she’s kept hidden even from herself.
If you love reading stories of women redefining themselves after decades of living, you’ll love The Salvation of Mary Lola Barnes.
I define it as women fiction-inspiration-with a dash of romance.
Looks like a good cover but I might suggest a bit more jump out (color, density or?) for the title words.

Thanks, John. My final version is often very different than my first attempt at a cover.

Thanks. I had written it for NaNoWriMo in 2015, and then put it away. After five years, I had forgotten how it ended. It was interesting reading it again.
